Civil War Forum, November 7

BROOKFIELD CENTER — Brookfield Museum & Historical Society will present a special forum, “The Civil War as Seen by Frederick A. Lucas,” a presentation by Ernest B. Baker based entirely on letters sent home during the war, on Wednesday, November 7, at 7 pm.

The letters from Frederick A. Lucas were sent to his lady friend and to his mother. Mr Barker will re-create a soldier’s life while serving with the 2nd Connecticut Heavy Artillery from August 1862 through August 1865. The public is welcome and admission is free.
