Historical Society To Hosts Veterans’ Day Program

BROOKFIELD CENTER — The Brookfield Museum and Historical Society will host a special presentation by Command Sergeant Major Arlindo Almeida, of Danbury’s 411th Army Reserve Civil Affairs Battalion, on Friday, November 11.

The program will begin at 7 pm and will take place at Brookfield Public Library, 182 Whisconier Road (Route 25).

The presentation marks the society’s second annual Veterans’ Day program, which is given each year to honor both veterans and current military personnel in the Armed Forces.

Sgt Major Almeida will discuss the role of his unit’s participation in Operation Iraqi Freedom during all three phases of the campaign. Other recently returned unit members along will join Sgt Major Almeida to field questions from the audience regarding their experiences. Refreshments will be served following the program.

Admission is free.
