To the Editor:

On behalf of Little Britches Therapeutic Riding, I would like to thank all the individuals and groups who helped make the recent Little Britches Virtual Auction a success. The auction is an essential annual fundraiser for our nonprofit, which helps children and adults with special needs discover their strengths though horseback riding.

Some 80 students from towns throughout northwestern Connecticut currently take part in the program at Little Britches, which is based in Roxbury. We rely on community support — in the form of grants, donations, and fundraising events — to operate the program and keep rider fees affordable.

This year’s auction was the most successful yet. We’re especially thankful for our major auction sponsors, including Dobson Pools, Good News Restaurant and Bar, New England Equine Practice, and Visual Impact. We are also grateful to the many local businesses and individuals who donated auction items or contributed in other ways—and, of course, the enthusiastic bidders who competed to buy those items. Thank you all!
