A Taste Of Newtown November 10 At Destination Newtown

The Newtown Chamber of Commerce is planning to include A Taste of Newtown as part of its business showcase, Destination Newtown, on Wednesday, November 10. The public is invited to join the chamber businesses at the Fireside Inn from 4 to 8 pm.

In addition to viewing all the business showcases and sitting in on one of the four workshops, guests are invited to taste the cuisine provided by several local restaurants. Representatives will be available to answer questions on catering services and menu selections and other specific areas of interest pertaining to the restaurants.

Five restaurants will be featured: the Fireside Inn, the Compass Grill, Hot Shots Grille, Franco’s Pizza & Café, and My Place restaurant.

Free tickets are available to all attendees for a chance to win one of the many door prizes donated by booth sponsors of the business expo.

Workshop presenters will include Anne Ragusa, who will give tips on how to maintain a LLC or corporation. Alan Clavette will help business owners understand the differences between contractors and employees. Matt Cuomo will share the fundamentals of retirement planning. Pat Linnell will give even the most disorganized tips on dealing with the time challenge.

The landmark event will include chamber members from many categories of commerce including accounting, financial services and investing, insurance, mortgage consulting, computers and the Internet, painting and publishing, advertising and marketing, interior design, day care centers, day spas, and many others.
