Beth El To Host Open House Nov. 20

SOUTHBURY — Beth El, an egalitarian conservative synagogue affiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism, will host an open house to welcome new members and to introduce the synagogue to anyone interested in learning more about the community.

The event, slated for Saturday, November 20, begins with a service at 9:30 am and concludes with a light luncheon. Beth El is located at the Walzer Family Jewish Campus, 444 Main Street North (Route 67).

“This is the ideal way to get to know our community,” says Dr Maurice Falk, president of Beth El. “Even those remotely interested will be struck by the warm, intimate, and loving atmosphere of our sanctuary and community.”

Visitors will have an opportunity to tour the facility and meet current members who come from several regional towns and cities including Goshen, Litchfield, Middlebury, Naugatuck, Oakville, Prospect, Roxbury, Southbury, Southington, Thomaston, Waterbury, Watertown, Wolcott, and Woodbury.

For more information about the open house or Beth El in general, call 264-4500. Regular services are held Friday evenings at 8 pm, Shabbat mornings at 9:30 am, and Thursday mornings at 8:30 am.
