Vladimir Pade, an August 2004 graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute at Hartford, was one of two recipients of the 2004 Founders Award of Excellence, one of Rensselaerâs highest honors. Established in 1994, the Founders Award honors Rensselaer students who embody qualities of creativity, discovery, leadership and the values of pride and responsibility. Mr Pade was honored during Rensselaerâs annual Honors Convocation, held on the Troy, N.Y., campus, on October 15.
Mr Pade received a certificate of achievement and a $100 cash prize. He holds a master of science degree in management from Rensselaer; currently, he teaches at several Connecticut colleges and universities and is seeking an opportunity to apply his diversified skills in international management and finance.
Michael Compagnoni, a first-year student Albion College in Albion, Mich., is a new member of the Gerald R. Ford Institute for Public Policy and Service. The Ford Institute is designed to give exceptional students the opportunity to broaden their education through concentrated study in areas of government and public service. Michael, son of Charles and Maureen Compagnoni, is a 2004 graduate of Newtown High School.
