Dodgingtown Collision

Motorist Holly Roseboom, 23, of Waterbury, who was driving a 2002 Honda Civic eastward on Route 302 near Shelley Road in Dodgingtown about 9 am November 1, was struck from behind by a Chevrolet, police said.

The Chevrolet, which was driven by an unknown person, then fled the scene and was later found parked in a driveway on Baldwin Road, police said. Roseboom was not injured. Police said they are investigating the accident.

Church Hill Crash

Motorist Jeanine Vanlierop, 40, of Norwalk, who was driving a commercial 1995 Ford van westward on Church Hill Road about 5:55 pm November 2, was making a left turn onto Commerce Road, when a noncontact vehicle entered the intersection from a commercial driveway, causing the Ford to swerve to the left to avoid it, police said.

In making that maneuver, the Ford collided with a commercial 2003 Ford F-250 pickup truck driven by David Potter, 44, of Brookfield, which was stopped at a red traffic signal on Commerce Road, police said.

There were no injuries. Police issued Vanlierop a written warning for making an improper turn.
