Donald W.    Minck

Donald W. Minck, 77, of Brookfield, died on November 2 at Danbury Hospital. He was the husband of the late M. Alice (Grenache) Minck.

Mr Minck was born in Torrington on March 12, 1927, a son of the late William Minck and Pauline (Bergaman) Minck Banks. He was the brother of George Minck of Newtown.

Mr Minck is also survived by two sons, Jeffrey W. Minck and his wife Marie of New Milford and Donald W Minck II of Branford; and four grandchildren, Kyle J., Laura A., Lisa M., and Ilana L.

During World War II Mr Minck served in the US Navy as an aircraft munitions loader.

A longtime resident of Brookfield, he was employed for more than 25 years as a machinist for Sieburg Industries. Mr Minck was a member of the Institute of Management Accountants. He was a parishioner of St Marguerite Bourgeoys Church. Most of all he was a family man who enjoyed his grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted on Saturday, November 6, at 9:30 am, from the Brookfield Funeral Home, 746 Federal Road, Brookfield, to St Marguerite Bourgeoys Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 5, from 5 to 8 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Mr Minck’s memory be made to Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company, 92 Pocono Rd, PO Box 5111, Brookfield CT 06804-5111.
