Panel To Assess Region’s Economy

STAMFORD — On Tuesday, November 9, The Business Council of Fairfield County (SACIA) and the Economic Association of Southern Connecticut are presenting “Humming or Hurting? Economists and Business Leaders Assess the Region’s Economy.” The panel presentation will be held at Norwalk Community College from 8 to 9:30 am. Cost for the event is $25 for members, $30 for nonmembers.

The morning panel will provide a set of overviews of regional residential real estate, financial services, and labor market trends. Each critical economic factor will be discussed both by academic experts and executives working in the marketplace. The contrasting perspectives should offer unusually valuable insights into the Fairfield County economy.

The panel presenters include Catherine Candland, president and CEO, Advantage Human Resourcing; Edward Deak, professor of economics, Fairfield University; Paulette Pera Laurenzi, senior vice president and region manager, corporate banking, PNC Bank; Todd Martin, economic advisor to People’s Bank and Adjunct Professor of Economics, Fairfield University; and Barry Rosa, vice president and director, New Homes and Land Division, Prudential Connecticut Realty.
