Girls U8

Bulldogs 1, Funky Monkeys 0 – Emma Burns scored the lone goal to lead the ‘Dogs. Lilia Hutchison and Genny Denault played well. Alyssa Ruefenacht had a strong game in goal. For the Monkeys, Rebecca Grant and Sara Lampel were solid on D while Avery Black paced the offense and Noelle Veilette played well in the midfield.

Shockers 2, Panthers 2 – Kate Fallon and Elizabeth Helmig each scored a goal for the Shockers as Tess Stofko and Megan Meyer played well on defense. Angela Hallili scored both goals for the Panthers and Katherine Jennings played well on offense. Lindsay Fuori and Amanda Crowell played well on defense.

Strikers 3, Cheetahs 0 – Dale Shearin, Emily Grimes and Jacquelin Monney scored the goals to lift the Strikers to the win. Madeline Fletcher and Elisabeth Charash played a superb defense. Jessica Keller, Aimee Alexander and Emily Papp did all they could to score for the Cheetahs, but were unsuccessful.

Bulldogs 2, Huskies 1 – Aine Duffy and Hope McMorran each scored for the ‘Dogs. Genny Denault had a great game in goal, Lilia Hutchison played well on defense and Tanner Tardie had a strong game on offense. For the Huskies, Emily Riley scored while Tonya Tucker and Kirsten Yapp both had great games.

Shooting Stars 5, Funky Monkeys 2 – Selina Henn scored a pair of goals and Brooke Newton, Maggie Kost, Kailee Dunnigan each had a goal for the Shooting Stars. Kerry Scallon and Emma Sullivan each scored a goal for the Funky Monkeys. Avery Black and Hayley Dunn did a great job at midfield.

Panthers 3, Thunderbolts 1 – Sophie Johnston scored a pair of goals while Nicole Mendonca added one to lead the Panthers to the win. Trisha Sullivan played well on both offense and defense and Clare Alexander played all around. For the Thunderbolts, Claire Hebert scored as Danielle Shine played well in goal, Jennifer Indelicato was strong on offense, and Veronica Moyer had a fine all-around performance.

Boys U8

Gators 2, Strikers 0 – Will Dalton and Brenton Scott scored the goals to lead the Gators to the win. Danny Toby and Zach Pollock played great for the Gators. Nick Sanderson and Albert Dean played excellent for the Strikers.

Huskies 3, Werewolves 1 – Stephen Walsh scored two goals and Alex Gerbo added one to lead the Huskies. Owen Gaston and Zachary McNulty played well on defense. Matthew Wood scored for the Werewolves and Matt Rosa and Sam Boland had good all around games. Zach Wieland was tough on defense.

Tigers 5, Tigersharks 2 – Austin Raftery scored three goals while Connor Gallagher and Jonathon Swartz each added a goal to lift the Tigers. Wesley Morlock got an assist. For the ‘Sharks, Colin Reilly and Gabe Keogler scored while Zane Lynch provided an assist. Kevin Droniak played well in goal.

Wolverines 3, Dragons 2 – Charlie Poarch scored a pair of goals and Gentian Limani added one to lead the Wolverines. Tyler Dullinger and Luke Mammen had strong games. For the Dragons, Doug Miller scored twice and Alec Beuchemin provided an assist. Nick Barrows and Sean MacMullen played well.

Bulldogs 2, Blue Thunder 0 – Chris Horkachuck and Ryan McFarland each scored a goal to lead the ‘Dogs. Michael Cook was solid in goal as Ryan King played well on defense. For the Thunder, Connor Roche played strong midfield while Nicholas Rubino and Travis Hanna were solid on defense. Bradley Kretz was excellent tending the goal.

Girls U10

Jawbreakers 0, Fireballs 0 – Alyse Brautigam, Lauren Meyer and Rebecca Silveira played well for the ‘Breakers while Jessica Haitz and Claire Miles each made great saves in goal to preserve the tie. For the Fireballs, Lauren Sarna was great in net, Brittany Heck was strong on defense and Jaclyn Dailey and Hannah Maret both played well.

Crusaders 3, Mighty Tigers 0 – Kelsey Karp scored two goals and Zoe Eggleston scored one to lift the Crusaders. Meagan Foy and Kira Reed played outstanding games. For the Tigers, Claire Berson, Shannon O’Gorman, Alexa Powell and Mallory Reilly played well.

Firekickers 3, Firefeet 1 – Dana Bowers scored two goals and Kristen Degirolamo added one to lead the ‘Kickers. Molly Arneth and Maddy Good had fine performances. For the ‘Feet, Kyra Murray scored as Rachel Karnoff, Julie LaPerch and Nicole Rothenbucher had solid efforts.

Boys U10

Eagles 3, All Stars 0 – Tyler Ruefenacht scored three goals to lead the Eagles. Philip Lyon and Nathan Norwich playing strong defense and David Tortora solid in goal. Anders Fogelberg played well in goal for the All-Stars with Nick Shannon, Peter Ovendirf and Miles Dobbrow playing well in the midfield.

Pink Muffins 2, All Stars 0 – Patrick Thornburg and James Marusi scored for the Pink Muffins while Joshua Schuette and Robby Russo led the defense. Justin Jermack and Matt Baldino led the All-Stars on defense while James Holcomb and Taylor Rutter anchored the midfield.

Wildfire 0, Pink Muffins 0 – Luca Weibel, Paolo Moscovici and Fredrik Dean all played great offense for Wildfire in this tightly contested game. There were some exciting saves by Wildfire goalkeeper Kevin Dennis. Forward Patrick Thornberg and midfielder Robert Russo led the Pink Muffins’ offense. Patrick Haggerty was strong in defense and their goalie, Patrick Riccardi, was very effective.

Boys U14

Strikers 4, Blue Monkeys 1 – Ben Federman scored twice and Chris Bock and Kevin Carney added one each for the Strikers. Tyler Hanna was key on defense. For the Monkeys, Tom Murphy scored while Vincent Brophy, Jacob Barrett and Jordan Mathurin had solid games.

Girls U14

Riptide 6, Mud Monkeys 2 – Laura Clark, Maura Gissen, Jillian Spies and Megan McGowan all scored with Jocelyn Pasko scoring twice to lead the ‘Tide. For the Monkeys, Samantha Wray and Katlyn Connolly scored as Chelsie Young anchored the defense with a great performance.

Huskies 1, Pink Ladies 0 – Maggie Donahue scored the lone goal to lead the Huskies to the win. Nicole Vournazos, Colleen Lynch and Molly Sheluck played well. For the Pink Ladies, Nicole Grillo, Meaghan Bridges, Alyssa Carey and Margot Isaacs had strong games.

Rapids 1, Turkeys 1 – Ashley Leifels of the Rapids and Alex Scarpa of the Turkeys scored the goals. For the Rapids, Sam Whitley and Audra Sarwa played well while Erica Woloszynski, Olivia Dillon and Kay Howell played well for the Turkeys.

Girls U10

Watertown 1, Flash 0 – Kristiana Engler, Tressa Scott and Morgan Kirol played well in a loss to Watertown.

Boys U10

Cobras 1, Southbury 1 – Conor Quinn scored the lone Newtown goal off his own rebound. Nick Barreto played well at midfield with several shots on goal while Noah Sock and Keegan Lombard led the defense.

Boys U11

Old Greenwich 2, Newtown 0 (State Cup) – Conrad Normann and Hank Helgren powered the Newtown offense while John Imbimbo, Andre Cappoziello and Travis LeBlanc were tough in the midfield in a loss to Old Greenwich.

Newtown 5, Brookfield 2 – Sean Burson, Adam Ellison, Jason Marks, Dan Gallagher, and Colin Cooper all scored with offensive support from Chris McGowen and Ryan Dunnigan.

Boys U12

Strikers 9, New Fairfield 1 – Dan Lynch scored four goals while Eric Thornberg and Tony Vacaro both added a pair to lift the Strikers. Kyle Moore added one more and Michael Gould provided an assist.

Girls U13

Rampage 4, New Milford 3 – Gina Pisacreta scored a pair of goals to lead the Rampage. Kirsten Hudock and Rachel Ruiz also scored while Sara Kelley and Susan Mason provided offensive pressure.

Boys U13

Raptors 5, Sherman 1 – Adam Buccino scored three goals and Dan Clement added two to lead the Raptors. Andy Lapple, Casey Tenney and Daniel Greenwood provided offensive assists while by Benjamin Miles, Ben Mahony and Matt Slattery anchored the D.

Girls U14

Hurricanes 1, Brookfield 0 – In a defensive struggle the Hurricanes prevailed thanks to a beautiful pass from Haley Keane to Kasey Schulz, who was able to beat the Brookfield goalie with a low shot to the far post. The shutout was preserved by the defensive efforts of Jen Brewer, Cara Colacurcio, Belle Hydock and Natalie Villa.
