White Shines At X-C Meet

Newtown resident Ian White, right, competed for his school, St. Margaret’s-McTernan of Waterbury in the All Waterbury High School cross-country meet. McTernan runners competed in the varsity and junior varsity races, each race with more than 100 athletes competing. These top five runners placed in the top ten of their respective race. Competing were, from left, Nate Luce of Waterbury, Alex Ocampo of Watertown, Elizabeth Genest of Prospect, Glenn VanMoffaert of Roxbury and Ian White of Newtown. White placed fourth overall in the junior varsity race. St. Margaret’s McTernan was the only team to place three runners on the All-City team.
