Wednesday Networking

At Newtown Country Club

Flagpole Networkers Business Network International (BNI), a business referral group, has relocated its meetings to the Newtown Country Club. As members make referrals to one another, a “pink slip” is created and handed to the group’s vice president for record keeping.

For members of BNI, pink slips can be a good thing.

Daniel Patti, owner of DMP Asset Management in Newtown and new president of the Flagpole Networkers chapter, said he is really excited about the move.

“I think it will be good for the chapter,” Mr Patti said in a release. “It is a more professional and comfortable space and allows us room to grow the chapter, which is a major focus of my office this year. We need to get the word out about what a great organization BNI is and how business people can really benefit from it.”

Flagpole Networkers BNI allows only one member from each profession into the chapter. The sole purpose of the group is to give its members more business.

Mr Patti said BNI is based on the concept that what goes around comes around.

“If you give business to me, I’ll give business to you,” he added. “This is the basis for BNI’s motto: Givers Gain. It’s like having an extended sales force working for you. It works.”

Additional information can be obtained by visiting Flagpole Networkers BNI. Prospective members can visit a chapter twice prior to applying for membership.

The Flagpole Networkers chapter meets every Wednesday at the Newtown Country Club. Meetings are held from 7:45 to 9:15 pm, and visitors are always welcome. For more information or a reservation to attend, contact Keith Deyo, visitor host, at 845-527-0183.
