To the Editor:

Upon waking the morning after the election, I was glad that the campaign for the Board of Education was behind me, but that is only because I know that working to secure the best opportunities for Newtown’s students is ahead.

I had the chance to meet and talk with many people I might not have known otherwise, and I appreciate all of the insights I have gained from those conversations. I hope that we can continue those discussions, and that you will feel free to contact me and share your thoughts in the future.

I am also very grateful to have had the help and support of neighbors, friends and family during the campaign and am tremendously grateful for the support of the voters of Newtown.
