Elsie Eddinger Elander, 85, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of Arnold G. Elander, Sr, for 60 years, died November 4 in her residence. Mrs Elander was born in Bridgeport and was a lifelong resident.

Her husband; three children, including Arnold “Skip” Elander, Jr, and his wife, Mary, and Bruce Elander and his wife, Ann Marie, all of Newtown, and Cynthia Perretta and her husband, Michael; one brother; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews survive her.

 She was a former employee for the Travelers Insurance Co. She was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church, Bridgeport, for 50 years, where she was a member of the Ruth Circle, Altar Guild, and a former Sunday School teacher. Mrs Elander was also a member of the Senior Bowling League, a volunteer at Bridgeport Hospital, and for Meals on Wheels.

The family would like to thank Mrs Elander’s caregiver, Seda Ghazaryan.

Friends are invited to attend her funeral Friday, November 7, at 10:30 am (directly) at the Salem Lutheran Church, 45 Stratfield Place, Bridgeport, with the Revernd Robert Hoffman, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. Calling hours were scheduled at the Larson Funeral Home, 2496 North Avenue, Bridgeport, Thursday, November 6, from 4 to 8 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations maybe made to the Salem Lutheran Church, Altar Guild, or the Hospice at Home, 40 Lindeman Drive, Trumbull CT 06611.
