Newtown’s Bourbon Street

To the Editor:

My family and I would like to thank the residents of Main Street. You have not only graciously allowed everyone to park their families on your lawns for the Labor Day Parade every year, but you have made Halloween the most amazing experience!

My children look forward to it all year. They speak about what the Mulligans’ “spider” will look like, and all of the great games in front of the town hall! Everyone is so busy these days and you take time to create beautiful pumpkins, skits (i.e., Grease), and very cool scenes (i.e., The Wizard of Oz, the Civil War). To all of you, including the dentist offices, firefighters, and the church, we really appreciate it! As I heard someone say, Halloween on Main Street is like Newtown has its own Bourbon Street!
