Occupation: I work for Ability Beyond Disability as a job coach, bringing clients to Duracell where they work and offering them guidance. I also work as a dog trainer at the Newtown Dog Pound. I get dogs ready for adoption by teaching them basic obedience and socialization.

Family: My mom and Dad, Kristie and David Lynch, and I have two brothers, Kyle and Kenny, and two sisters, Kara and Sierra. My grandparents, Loretta and Walter Johnson live in Danbury, too.

Pets: I have three dogs. Maddox and Rudy are goofy chocolate labs, and Summer is a Finnish Spitz. Summer and Rudy were rescue dogs. My cat, Spencer, came from the Newtown Pound.

How long have you worked in town? I’ve been working at the pound for two years. It started out as part of my schooling for dog training when we were required to volunteer at a shelter, and I’ve been here since.

What do you like to do in your free time? I like spending time with my dogs, playing with them and walking with them. A lot of the time I’m at the pound working with the dogs. The more I can be here, the sooner they are ready to go to a home, so sometimes I’m here 20 hours a week. I started out in the computer field, so I’m sort of a computer nerd, too. I like to build computers.

Do you have a favorite breed of dog? I love them all. They all offer something different. I like to see a dog do what it was bred to do, like hunting or herding.

Do you have a favorite travel destination? I love Puerto Rico. The food is excellent. You can’t find that anywhere around here.

What is the best thing about Newtown? That everyone seems to know each other. People wave to each other on the street. It’s a really friendly town.

Do you have a hero? The Dalai Lama. His philosophies on happiness, where it comes from, how to attain it, really appeal to me.

Do you have a personal philosophy? Through helping others, we help ourselves.

Do you have a guilty pleasure? I do have a little addiction to a particular video game called Battlefield 2. Sometimes I play it a little too much. But I always get up in time for work.
