The Department of Energy &
Environmental Protection (DEEP) hereby provides notice that it will
conduct a public information meeting under Connecticut General
Statutes (CGS) Section 15-134(c)(2) regarding an application for a
marked waterski course submitted by the Lake Zoar Slalom Club.
APPLICATION INFORMATION

Lake Zoar Slalom Club, 12 Bridge End Farm Lane, Sandy Hook, CT 06482
PROPOSED ACTVITY
The applicant is proposing to
install a marked waterski slalom course consisting of buoys placed
on the western side of Lake Zoar in the vicinity of Bridge End Farm
Road and Anthes Avenue, Newtown. A copy of the application and map
of the proposed location of the activity may be viewed on the DEEP
website site at:

PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING
The meeting will be held on
Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at 6:00PM in the Council Chamber at
the Newtown Municipal Center at 3 Primrose Street, Newtown. The
applicant will present the application and DEEP will provide an
overview of the statutory considerations ahead of receiving public
comment.
PUBLIC COMMENT
All interested persons are
invited to attend this public information meeting and present their
views concerning the proposed waterski slalom course. Individuals
may also submit written comments on the application by email or
hardcopy. Comments may be emailed to DEEP.Boating@ct.gov or by US
Mail to the DEEP Boating Division c/o Yolanda Cooley, PO Box 280,
Old Lyme, CT 06071.
DEEP will consider all comments
received or postmarked by December 4, 2024.
