G. Peter Nugent, 49, of Bethany, beloved husband of Jacqueline Nugent, died suddenly on November 5. Born on November 16, 1966, in Stamford, he was a son of LaVerne Marie Burzynski and the late Gerard Peter Nugent, Sr.

In addition to his wife and mother, his sister, Marykay Wishneski and her husband, Paul, of Newtown; his brother, Christopher Nugent and his wife, Doreen; his children, Gillianne Rose and Madeline Marie Nugent; nieces and nephews; and many friends and family survive him.

He graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a BA in physical education, but found his true passion was being creative. He started his own home improvement business, which flourished for 20 years, and found great pleasure in bringing peoples' visions to reality.

While his business was a large part of his world, nothing was more important to him that than time spent with family and friends. He seemed to know people where ever he went. Mr Nugent loved country music, especially Jason Aldean, and was passionate about the New York Yankees and NASCAR. He was known for his generosity and kindness, as well as making everyone laugh at his bad jokes.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Wednesday, November 16, at 10 am, at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 81 Center Road, Woodbridge. Interment to follow at Carrington Cemetery, Rainbow Road, Bethany.

Friends and family may call from 4 to 8 pm on Tuesday, November 15, at Cody-White Funeral Home 107 Broad Street, Milford.

In lieu of flower, memorial donations may be made to the Sandy Hook Promise Foundation, PO Box 3489, Newtown CT 06470.
