Richard Baumer earned placement on the Dean’s List for the summer semester of the 2004 academic year at Berklee College of Music.

Thomas W. Malloy, a 2004 graduate of Babson College in Babson Park, Mass., qualified for the spring 2004 semester Dean’s List.

Whitney H. Blanchard was among 26 area recipients of the prestigious Meserve Memorial Fund Scholarship. The scholarships were recently awarded to the students at an honorary reception at the Stony Hill Inn in Bethel. Whitney is currently an undergraduate student at the University of New Hampshire in Durham.

Mary Anders, a senior at Newtown High Schools, was recently named a Connecticut State Finalist for the 2004 Wendy’s High School Heisman Award. The award recognizes her as one of the best scholar-athlete-citizens in Connecticut. Mary was named from among 15,000 students nominated across the nation. She will be honored at the Northeast Region Awards Dinner at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., on November 18.
