John E.            Geason

John “Jack” E. Geason, 76, husband of Constance (Bissonnette) Geason of Madison Drive, Newtown, died November 5 in Danbury Hospital.

He was born in Portland, Maine, on December 25, 1927, a son of the late John and Evelyn (Staples) Geason. Mr Geason was raised in West Hartford and was a graduate of Hall High School. He received his bachelor of science and master of science degrees from Central Connecticut State University. Mr Geason was a longtime industrial arts teacher at Danbury High School until his retirement in 1992. During World War II, he served in the US Army.

In addition to his wife, Mr Geason is survived by a son, John Geason and his wife Ann of New Milford; two daughters, Jane Geason of Farmington and Elizabeth Slaney and her husband Dwayne of Newtown; three grandsons, Michael Demeo of Farmington, John Slaney and his wife Rachel of Naugatuck. and Christopher Slaney of Newtown; and two sisters, Nancy Lewis and Melinda Geason, both of Portland.

A Memorial service was held November 9 in the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown.
