Nunzio           Caruso

Nunzio Caruso, 81, of Lantana, Fla., formerly of Monroe, husband of Argentina (DeLorenzo) Caruso, died November 10 at his daughter’s home in Shelton.

Mr Caruso was born April 6, 1923, in Newark, N.J., a son of the late Giovanni and Annunziata (Guzulla) Caruso.

Besides his loving wife, he is survived by his devoted children, Jennie Perry and her husband Charles of Newtown, Nancy Caruso of Lantana, Fla., Gina James and her husband Michael of Huntington, Lucy Farrell and her husband Matthew of Monroe, Patricia Spotlow and her husband Jerry of Monroe, and John Caruso and his wife Maureen of Monroe. He also leaves 12 cherished grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and his brothers, Emanuele Caruso and Joseph Caruso both of Monroe, John Caruso of Trumbull, and Angelo Caruso of Naugatuck.

Mr Caruso grew up in Italy, returning to the United States in 1954, settling in Bridgeport. He later moved to Monroe where he lived for 36 years before moving the Lantana.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, November 13, at 11 am in the Spadaccino Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Route 111, Monroe. Interment will follow in St John Cemetery, 500 Moose Hill Road in Monroe.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, November 12, from 4 to 8 pm.
