Painting Fundamentals

NEW FAIRFIELD — On Monday, November 15, at 7 pm, at New Fairfield Library, Candlewood League of Artists will present the latest in a series of free, monthly visiting artist demonstrations that are open to the public.

Sherman artist Barbara Goodspeed will be creating a landscape in oils. The main objective of her demonstration will be to emphasize the fundamentals in composition and design, which are basic concepts for all good paintings.  Therefore, no matter in which medium an artist prefers to work, Ms Goodspeed’s demonstration will present an opportunity for a better understanding of how and why the elements of good composition and values are essential to achieve artistic goals.

All are welcome to come observe, learn, and be inspired by a popular and award-winning local artist.
