Spoofing Beauty Pageants,

On Theater Barn Stage

RIDGEFIELD — The next production at Ridgefield Theater Barn will by Pageant, a musical spoof of beauty pageants where each evening’s audience is invited to vote for the winner.

Based on book and lyrics by Bill Russell and Frank Kelly, with music by Albert Evans, conceived by Robert Longbottom and directed by Joal Paley, Pageant will run weekends from November 19 until December 18.

Most shows will be Friday and Saturday at 8 pm. Note there are two weekends – on November 27 and December 11 – where the Saturday evening shows will be at 6:30 and 9:30 pm.

Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for students and seniors. All seating is cabaret style, and the audience is welcome to bring in its own food and refreshments; picnic dinners may also be ordered. Doors open one hour prior to performances.
