Alice M. Capozziello

Alicia M. (Barry) Capozziello, 71, of Newtown, beloved wife for 48 years of the late Lawrence A. Capozziello, Sr, died November 22 at Danbury Hospital.

Mrs Capozziello was born March 18, 1933, in the Bronx, N.Y., a daughter of the late Michael and Mary Jane (Flanagan) Barry. She was a resident of Newtown for more than 30 years, working several years for the Newtown School System in the school cafeterias.

Mrs Capozziello was the devoted mother of Chris Capozziello and his wife Lori of Newtown and Susan A. Marcinek and her husband David of Newtown, Michael J. Capozziello of California, Lawrence A. Capozziello, Jr, of Waterbury, and Patricia M. Oberg and her husband Carl of New Milford. She is also survived by her eight cherished grandchildren. She leaves a brother, Michael J. Barry and his wife Peggy of New Jersey and a sister, Elinor Santini of Florida. She was predeceased by two sisters, Kathleen Masterson and Ann Hinds.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 27, at 9:30 am in St Rose of Lima Church, 46 Church Hill Road, in Newtown. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Family and friends may call on Friday, November 26, from 4 to 8 pm in the Spadaccino Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Route 111, in Monroe.
