FOR DECEMBER 10 –

CONNECTICUT ANTIQUES DEALERS ASSOCIATION – NO CUTS –

SS/jl set 12-1

CHESHIRE, CONN. — The Connecticut Association of Dealers in Antiques, Inc (CADA) has just published its 2005 Membership Directory. This pocket-sized pamphlet contains all the information the antiquer needs to know about CADA’s members – their specialties, shop hours and locations, addresses and phone numbers – all listed alphabetically by town. The directory is available by sending a SASE (#10 business size with one $.37 stamp) to Louise Barto, 23 East Ridge Court, Cheshire, CT 06410.

Membership in CADA is open to antiques and collectibles dealers of integrity and quality and also to auctioneers, appraisers, promoters and others in the antiques trade. Some members conduct their business from shops, while others participate only in antiques shows or conduct their business online. Approximately six meetings are conducted throughout the year.

CADA’s educational programs for 2004 featured speakers on estate jewelry, mochaware, copper and related metalware, and American Decorative Arts in the Metropolitan Museum. Also included was a curated tour of the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, Mass.

Inquiries regarding members, membership and program information should be directed to Carol Monday, 1648 Whitney Avenue, Hamden, CT 06517, 203-287-9015.
