RUTLAND, VA. — At the semiannual business meeting of the Vermont Antiques Dealer’s Association, VADA member Barbara Trash, past president Louise Hall and Judith Vanee, all licensed senior members of the American Society of Appraisers, led an informative talk and discussion on appraisals for insurance, estate settlement, family distributions, donations and sale.

Four new members were voted into VADA: George B. Johnson, Dan and Kathy Roe of Roe House Antiques, Steve Smoot and Donna East. New officers were elected: Joan Korda, president; Susan Hart, vice president, communications; Howard Graff, vice president, show; Elizabeth M. Harley, executive secretary; Judd Gregory, treasurer; Jim Dunn, Greg Hamilton, Rita Masso and Joe Hart, directors. And show manager, Howard Graff, reported on the most recent VADA.

An alert was posted on the VADA hotline regarding a robbery in West Haven, Va. The items reported stolen are: two Victorian settees, upholstery in pale green; a black walnut drop leaf table; a round dark wood, carved top table; duck decoys; quilts, tiger maple and pine yarn winder; a painted white drop leaf table; two trunks; and pitcher and bowl sets.
