Ecumenical Thanksgiving Efforts

Not only is Thanksgiving a time for families to come together, it is also a time to volunteer. Families from St Rose of Lima Church and Congregation Adath Israel worked together to deliver meals from Danbury to Bridgeport for homebound seniors in need of a meal. Food was transported from house of worship to house of worship (from Newtown to Bridgeport) by volunteers, with volunteers waiting in Bridgeport who took the warm meal directly to the homes of those who needed them. Pictured here are volunteers carrying out the last meal. Lisa and Stephen Chaloux, with their daughters Danielle and Nicole, delivered the final meal to Bridgeport.
