Musical Celebration

SOUTH BRITAIN — Alamanda Women’s Choir, under Director Amy Bernon, and The Spirit Singers and Adult Choir of South Britain Congregational Church, under Director Denita Yeomans, will present a combined holiday concert on Wednesday, December 13, at 7:30 pm, at South Britain Congregational Church. The special event is being billed as “The Wonders of The Winter: A Musical Celebration of the Holidays.”

Selections will include Rutter’s Angels’ Carol, Carillon for Christmas, Some Children See Him, The Gower Wassail, and a mix of traditional and new Hanukkah and Christmas selections. The audience will be invited to join in on carols.

The singers will be accompanied by Anna Jedd on piano and organ, and Seth Warner on trumpet.

South Britain Congregational Church is at the intersection of Route 172 and East Flat Hill Road in South Britain, a village within Southbury. It is easily accessible from Exit 14 off I-84.

A suggested donation of $5 per person will be accepted at the door.  All are welcome to enjoy a reception of homemade treats following the performance.
