Glenn Thomas Dollmann, 79, of Bridgeport died November 27, Thanksgiving Day, at Danbury Hospital, surrounded by his family. Born in New Rochelle, N.Y., he was the son of the late Laura and Louis Russo.

His wife Joyce (Lowy) Dollmann; daughters Lauren Elliott, and her husband Bob, of Sandy Hook, Michelle Sullivan, and Lisa Leverich, both of Monroe, and their mother Shirley Taylor of Huntington; sister, Lucille Freidenfelds, and her husband John, of Chester, N.J.; brother and best friend John Russo, and his wife Christina, of Stamford; and his grandchildren, Sean and Tommy Elliott, Laura and Steven Sullivan, and Vanessa Leverich, survive Mr Dollmann. Two nieces, a nephew, and their families also survive.

Mr Dollmann received his bachelor of science degree from the University of Connecticut’s School of Pharmacy in 1956. He was a member of Phi Delta Chi, the professional fraternity serving the field of pharmacy. Upon graduation, he served as a medic in the National Guard. His career spanned more than 30 years working as supervising pharmacist at Pathmark and local pharmacies in the area. He retired from Riccio’s Pharmacy in 1999.

He was an avid outdoorsman, spending time fishing, boating, and gardening.  He also enjoyed teaching and playing racquetball, golf, tennis, and skiing. In his free time he visited Mohegan Sun to preview the horse races and traveled with his longtime friend, Paul Mazzia of New Fairfield.

In his retirement he enjoyed those hobbies, and spending time with his beloved wife, his three loving daughters, and his five cherished grandchildren. He could often be found with his family fishing and picnicking at Great Hollow Lake and cheering on his alma mater, the UConn Huskies, with his grandkids, brother, and good friends Joe Sullivan and George Dizenzo. He will be greatly missed by all and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

The burial will take place Saturday, December 6, at 10 am, at St John’s Cemetery, 500 Moose Hill Road, Monroe, officiated by the Reverend Kathleen Adams-Shepherd. A celebration of his life will follow the interment at noon, at Port 5, 69 Brewster Street, Bridgeport.
