Concert For Haiti At NUMC

Lindsey Jones and friends will perform works of Mozart, Bach, Massenet, Yon and Strauss during a special Concert To Help Haiti on Sunday, December 4. The performance will begin at 4 pm at Newtown United Methodist Church, 92 Church Hill Road in Sandy Hook.

The concert will serve as both an offering of entertainment and a fundraiser for Ms Jones, who will travel to Haiti in January with the organization Mountains of Hope. With fellow students of Western Connecticut State University, Ms Jones will traveling next month to Furcy, Haiti, where they hope to bring aid to the victims of the devastating earthquake that transformed the already troubled nation on January 10, 2010.

Ms Jones is also looking for donations of instruments to bring to the students of the L’Ecole Methodiste de Furcy (Methodist School of Furcy). For inquiries about instrument donations send e-mail to LJones7312@gmail.com.
