And Mother

Virginia Fitzgerald Webb, 88, of Darien, beloved wife of Roger Lambert Webb, died peacefully November 25, surrounded by family and friends at Masonicare at Newtown. She was born February 28, 1923, in Torrington, the daughter of Rose and John Fitzgerald.

In addition to her devoted husband of 66 years, survivors include one daughter, Carol Webb Delvecchio, and one son, Roger B. Webb, both of Newtown; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Three siblings predeceased Mrs Webb.

She lived and raised her family in Darien, until 2010. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who will be deeply missed.

The family would like to thank the staff at Masonicare for their outstanding care and compassion.

A memorial mass celebrating her life took place November 28, at St Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be private, at the convenience of the family.

The Honan Funeral Home, Newtown, assisted the family.
