Police Launch Their Seasonal

‘Mitten Tree’ Project

As they have for the past several years, town police will again conduct their “Mitten Tree” holiday project for local needy families.

Residents are asked to donate new mittens, hats, and scarves. The items will then be placed near a Christmas tree located in the police station’s roll call room.

Residents can drop off such items at the police station at 3 Main Street. The station is open 24 hours daily. The gift collection will run until Christmas.

The items collected will be distributed to local needy families by the town’s social services department.
