Annual Newtown Tree Lighting Ceremony, 6:30 pm, Ram Pasture, corner Elm Drive at Hawley Road, lighting of town’s holiday tree will be accompanied by caroling by NHS Chorus members, visits with Santa and Mrs Claus.

Annual Garden Club of Newtown Greens Sale, 9 am–1 pm, Newtown Meeting House, 31 Main Street, wreaths, swags, kissing balls, ropes of popcorn and cranberries, jams and jellies and more, all put together by garden club members.
