Yao Promoted

Newtown Savings Bank announced the promotion of Michael Yao to vice president of commercial lending. Mr Yao has more than 15 years of banking experience with the past six years at Newtown Savings Bank.

Mr Yao recently established the bank’s new credit department and will now be focusing again on maintaining and building business relationships. Previously he worked as an asset manager for the J.E. Roberts Companies.

A Trumbull resident, Mr Yao earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Central Connecticut State University and a master’s of business administration from the University of New Haven.
