Occupation: I operate Your Healthy Pet with my sister, Alexandra. We have two locations, one right here in town and one in Middlebury.

Family: My wonderful fiancé is Vanessa, my 6-year-old son is Roman, and our baby girl Isla is on the way next month!

Pets: We have a 15-year-old Yorkie named Baby. She is sort of a celebrity.

What do you like to do in your free time? I love unwinding to music, either playing or listening. I love to cook, cycle when I can, and travel with my family. We also enjoy camping together.

Who has been the greatest influence in your life? My mother, Dianne, and my grandmother, Mafalda. They shaped me into the person that I am today. My mother is also the inspiration behind my commitment to pet nutrition and finding ways to help and educate others so their pets can live the happiest and healthiest life possible.

Who is your favorite musical artist? That’s a tough one. The Who, Rush, Sonic Youth, Guided by Voices, and everything in between.

What is something you cannot live without? Besides my family and friends, I would have to say my records and guitars.

What is your proudest accomplishment? Being able to put my focus into helping our customers and community through our business. It has been a very rewarding experience and I am grateful for all the new people and their pets that I have met.

What is a meal/recipe your family has passed down to you? My grandmother made Chicken Scarpiello, a traditional staple dish for our family. I enjoy making it in a million different ways for my family.

What is a tradition your family does that is important to you? Camping and traveling up to Maine! Being immersed in nature is so soothing for us.

What would you like The Newtown Bee to cover in the future? Continue covering small businesses and the individuals that make them what they are!

What is your favorite travel destination? I love to visit Vermont (especially Stowe) and Maine. One of the best experiences I had traveling outside the United States was to the Yucatan in Mexico and also visiting Mexico City. Hoping to make it back sometime soon!

What is the best part about Newtown? The tremendous sense of community and all the people who have been so great and supportive. Also, it’s home to some of the best and most unique businesses out there! Shout out to Good Old Days and Phinney’s, which are among some of my favorites!

What is your favorite food? Chicken Piccata.

If you could travel to the past or future, which would you choose and why? The past, because we are already traveling into the future.
