Forecasts of high winds prompted town officials to postpone Newtownâs 22nd Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at Ram Pasture on the morning of the originally scheduled event, December 1. The tree lighting is rescheduled for 6:30 pm December 8. The tree will be lit at 7 pm.

Parks and Recreation Director Barbara Kasbarian said, âSame time, same place,â for the Friday evening ceremony.
