To the Editor:

The Newtown Rotary Club would like to thank all the people who came out to support our 61st Annual Pancake Breakfast. It was beautiful to see the community, friends, and families again celebrating the start of the holiday season together and in person over a warm breakfast. What a delight!

The Club would also like to thank our event sponsors, including Newtown Savings Bank, Caraluzzi’s Markets, Stew Leonard’s, Ancient Winds Trading Co, and members of the local business community who provided sponsorship through place mat advertisements.

Our gratitude also extends to our local food purveyors, Butcher’s Best (sausages), BD Provisions (coffee), and Maple Craft Foods (syrup), providing the gourmet touch for our meal. We also thank the Girl Scouts of Connecticut and local troops: 50334, 50512, and 50764 for their help and volunteerism, and to those who provided entertainment throughout the morning.

Special thanks to the performing members of the Newtown Centre of Classical Ballet & Voice, the Lathrop School of Dance, and the Inspiring School of Music. Lastly, a special thanks to Santa Claus himself, who spent the morning delivering smiles to the young, and the not-so-young alike. We couldn’t do it without you.

The Club believes that traditions like these, with all the excitement, joy, and laughter, make Newtown such a special place to live, and we so enjoy being a part of your holiday season.
