To the Editor:

Most Trump supporter do not give the true reason they voted for him because they are ashamed to say, or do not realize themselves, it is about race.

Most know the only weapons we have now to fight this deadly virus are social distancing and the wearing of masks.

President Trump by his actions has not only discouraged, but has encouraged, his supporters not to social distance or wear masks. And by not requiring the entire nation to, has resulted in hundreds of thousands of Trump supporters and innocent Americans to unnecessarily get ill and many to die. We cannot wait months and watch more Trump supporters and innocent American get ill and die.

This political idiocy must stop now — we are only killing ourselves. It is evident to many Republicans who have abandoned the Republican Party, and to psychiatrists, and to medical immunologists that our president “doth not know what he is doing.” Senator McConnell and the Republican leaders in the Senate are the ones who are really responsible for what is happening to America now. Americans, Republicans and Democrats, should be putting pressure on them to end this madness now, and not wait until next year.
