Discusses 12/14 Tragedy
To the Editor:
At this time of year, my mind is always filled with memories of how I heard about the unspeakable tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School on my radio.
I had an appointment that morning, and we began talking about the attack upon the innocent children and adults at Sandy Hook.
It wasn’t until I stayed up late to watch the news coverage of the horrific event on television that I learned of the scope of the massacre.
As I stood and watched the video of all the children who survived, I felt tears begin to well up in my eyes.
Who could have committed such a heinous act?
I was shocked that this tragedy occurred in the same town where my sister-in-law’s younger sister lived with her husband.
This is indeed a very small world.
