Attention High School Students: NYS is looking for volunteers to help with after-school programs at the elementary schools. Please call for further information.

 

Volunteers Needed: NYS is moving in early 2004 and is seeking assistance. This is also a great opportunity for community service! Please call NYS if you would like to spend some time helping us.

Moms Groups

Moms of Multiples: Please call for new year updates.

They’re Here! The new Entertainment Books have arrived. They are $22 and can be picked up by at NYS.

Parent Programs

Parent Connection is an organization formed by concerned parents and other informed citizens of Newtown to address the problem of substance use and abuse in our community.

Parent Connection’s next forum, “I’m a Good Parent…Not my Child!” will be facilitated by Wendy Davenson Wednesday, January 21, at 7 pm in the Newtown Middle School auditorium.

Hope Support Group: If you are a parent with questions or concerns about your child’s possible or confirmed involvement with substances, you are invited to attend the Hope and Support group. This group meets Mondays from 7:30 to 9:30 pm in the Parents’ Corner. All are welcome.

 

Youth Programs

Children Of Divorce Support Group meets the first and third Monday of the month. The next meeting is January 5 from 6 to 7:15 pm.

Sib-Shops Support Group: For siblings of children who have disabilities will meet the second Monday of the month beginning January 12.

4H: Grades 5 and 6, Tuesdays, 3 to 4:30 at Newtown Youth Services.

HYSAB: The next meeting will be announced after the holidays.

MSYAB: The next meeting will be announced after the holidays.
