‘Queer Eye’ Rescheduled

DANBURY — Due to the snowstorm that came into the area during the first weekend of December, The Connecticut Gay Men’s Chorus (CGMC) has rescheduled its Danbury presentation of its 2003 holiday show.

“Queer Eye For The Magi,” which was originally to be presented on December 6, has been rescheduled for Friday, December 19. The performance will be at 8 pm in Western CT State University’s White Hall, 181 White Street (on the university’s main campus).

Tickets for the original date will be honored, and seats are still available. Ticket prices are $25 and $30.

This year’s holiday performance by CT Gay Men’s Chorus offers traditional holiday harmony and madcap yuletide comedy “joining together on a journey to a surprising makeover.”

In addition to traditional carols in sparkling new arrangements the show features the characters from Bravo’s runaway hit Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, and sends them on an imaginary Christmas Eve journey to help some contemporary fashion-challenged magi.

“It’s part Christmas story, part Wizard of Oz, and all fun,” says CGMC music director Winston Clark. “Along the way they run into a host of modern day icons in need of some serious making over. Santa and his reindeer will never be the same, and neither will Martha Stewart.”

“Queer Eye For The Magi” will also be performed on Saturday, December 20, at The Bushnell’s Belding Theater, 166 Capitol Avenue in Hartford, at 3 and 8 pm.

Call 800-644-2462 for additional information. Tickets will be available at the door.
