âQueer Eyeâ Rescheduled
DANBURY â Due to the snowstorm that came into the area during the first weekend of December, The Connecticut Gay Menâs Chorus (CGMC) has rescheduled its Danbury presentation of its 2003 holiday show.
âQueer Eye For The Magi,â which was originally to be presented on December 6, has been rescheduled for Friday, December 19. The performance will be at 8 pm in Western CT State Universityâs White Hall, 181 White Street (on the universityâs main campus).
Tickets for the original date will be honored, and seats are still available. Ticket prices are $25 and $30.
This yearâs holiday performance by CT Gay Menâs Chorus offers traditional holiday harmony and madcap yuletide comedy âjoining together on a journey to a surprising makeover.â
In addition to traditional carols in sparkling new arrangements the show features the characters from Bravoâs runaway hit Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, and sends them on an imaginary Christmas Eve journey to help some contemporary fashion-challenged magi.
âItâs part Christmas story, part Wizard of Oz, and all fun,â says CGMC music director Winston Clark. âAlong the way they run into a host of modern day icons in need of some serious making over. Santa and his reindeer will never be the same, and neither will Martha Stewart.â
âQueer Eye For The Magiâ will also be performed on Saturday, December 20, at The Bushnellâs Belding Theater, 166 Capitol Avenue in Hartford, at 3 and 8 pm.
