CT Master Chorale Announces Auditions
SOUTH BRITAIN â The Connecticut Master Chorale, under the direction of Tina Johns Heidrich has openings in the soprano section for its upcoming spring season.
Performances will include Luigi Cherubiniâs dramatic and passionate Requiem in C minor plus famous choruses by Verdi in March. In May, the Chorale will present the exhilarating Te Deum by Dvorak and Mendelssohnâs jubilant Hymn of Praise: A Symphonic Cantata. Both concerts will be at St Rose of Lima in Newtown.
The Connecticut Master Chorale is a premier ensemble of 55 highly gifted, select singers. Now in its fifth season, the chorale has achieved several accomplishments in its short history including the honor of performing by invitation at the White House last Christmas.
The chorale has also placed first in the McDonaldâs Gospelfest Competition for three years straight (2001-03).
In addition to its own regular concert seasons, the chorale has sung as invited guests at West Point Military Academy, with Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra and with Nutmeg Opera Company. More information about the chorale, including sound clips and photos from the White House performance, are available at www.CMChorale.org.
