In 1953, The Newtown Bee started a tradition of presenting an Christmas illustration on its cover instead of the usual front page news. Over the years, many different artists and illustrators have contributed their talents to creating what amounts to our Christmas card to the town.

In recent years, the artwork has been done by Lynn Johnson, an artist in The Bee’s production department. This year, Lynn has created an illustration that features a wreath with all the commemorative ornaments issued by Newtown Woman’s Club over the years. With Lynn Johnson’s help we send our best holiday wishes to all our readers.
