Olds Vs Deer
Motorist Christopher Sterk, 39, of New Milford, who was driving a 2003 Oldsmobile Alero westbound on Currituck Road about 7 pm December 11, collided with a deer near 172 Currituck Road, police said. Sterk was not injured in the mishap, police said.
Ford Rollover
Motorist James Kast, Jr, 35, of Bridgewater, who was driving a 1980 Ford Bronco southward on Hanover Road near Silver City Road at about 6:14 pm December 9, lost control of the Ford as a large truck passed by, police said.
The Ford rolled onto its side, but Kast was not injured, police said. Newtown Hook and Ladder firefighters went to the accident to cleanup a minor fuel spill, police said.
Police issued Kast an infraction ticket for driving without a driverâs license. Police also verbally warned Kast for a traffic violation.
Jeep Vs Dodge
Motorist Robert Kopchik, 55, of 14 Mt Pleasant Road, who was driving a 1991 Dodge Caravan northward on South Main Street about 1:40 pm December 15, slowed for traffic conditions and was struck from behind by northbound motorist Marjorie Bliss, 23, of 42 Bears Hill Road, who was driving a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee, police said.
There were no injuries. Police issued Bliss a written warning for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart. Police issued Kopchik a written warning for failure to carry an automotive insurance card.
Snowplow Crash
Police report a three-vehicle accident at the hazardous intersection of South Main Street and Swamp Road about 7:30 am December 10.
 Motorist Stanley Kokoszka, 38, of 12 Bayberry Drive, who was driving a 2003 Ford F-250 pickup truck with a snowplow attached, was pulling out a driveway on the west side of South Main Street in order to cross South Main Street and enter Swamp Road, when the snowplow struck the left rear side of a northbound 2000 Dodge Caravan minivan driven by Javier Izaquirro, 59, of East Haven, police said.
That impact pushed the Dodge into a 1998 Chevrolet Blazer driven by Paul Hufziger of 20 Marlin Road. The Chevrolet had been stopped at a stop sign at the end of Swamp Road, police said.
There were no injuries. Police issued Kokoszka an infraction ticket for failure to grant the right of way. Police verbally warned Izaquirro for failure to renew a vehicle registration.
Harassment Charges
In two separate arrest warrants served on December 14 and 17, police charged Gail Rothe, 48, of Southbury with a total of three counts of harassment in connection with incidents earlier this year, police said. Rothe was scheduled to appear in court to answer the charges.
