SACIA Launches Fairfield County Calendar Of Fundraising Events
STAMFORD â SACIA, The Business Council of Southwestern Connecticut, announces the launch of a new community event planning tool, the Fairfield County Community Fundraising C3
The service was designed to help nonprofit organizations reduce harmful date conflicts by maintaining a web-based, long-range, community fundraising event calendar. The service is available to the entire Fairfield County nonprofit community free of charge thanks to the generosity of a number of SACIA member firms, including General Electric Consumer Finance, Pitney Bowes, Inc, Purdue Pharma LP, The Thomson Corporation, and Xerox Corporation.
âWe strongly encourage event planners to use this resource in making scheduling decisions,â said Lisa Mercurio, director of SACIAâs Fairfield County Information Exchange. âAdvance checking and prompt posting of fundraising events can greatly reduce the possibility of revenue loss resulting from date overlaps.â
Nonprofit organizations are surveyed for dates through a monthly email. Organizations wishing to be included in the survey should call Betsy Schenkel, at SACIA, at 203-705-0657. Event information may be submitted to SACIA, The Business Council at anytime, by any community organization, at www.sacia.org/commfundcalendar.htm.
