War Is A Moral Issue
War Is A Moral Issue
To the Editor:
This writer is a former Roman Catholic seminarian and presently I am a psychotherapist. The supreme commander and chief of all Christian American military forces is not the President of the United States. The ultimate commander of every baptized Christian American military man and woman is the priest vicar of Christ, Pope John Paul II. As the vicar of Jesus Christ, Son of God, Pope John Paul and not politician George Bush retains absolute moral and spiritual authority over the worldâs Christian population including those who serve in national militaries.
War is a moral issue. War scorns Godâs sacred and infallible Fifth Commandment: âYou shall not kill.â Pope John Paul, vicar of Christ, had emphatically declared that an assault against Iraq was ânot morally justified,â i.e., immoral. Immoral means sinful. Christian George Bush, most Christian members of Congress and the Christians of the US military deliberately ignored the Popeâs infallible moral declaration. Catholic theological dogma teaches that the Pope speaks infallibly on matters pertaining to Christian faith and morals.
Pope John Paul as the vicar of Jesus Christ, Son of God, must bind by toleratus excommunication Mr Bush and the legions of Christian accomplices to the immoral assault of Iraq. Christians of Newtown: Pray the Rosary each day to bring peace to the world and the end of war as counseled by the Virgin Mary at Fatima, Portugal. Note that Fatima was the name of Mohammedâs only daughter.
