Anna Ray Satmary

Anna Ray Satmary, 85, of Bridgeport, wife of the late Ernest Satmary, Sr, died on December 23 in Connecticut Hospice, Branford.

 She is survived by a son, Ernest Satmary, Jr, of Newtown.

Born in Bridgeport, Mrs Satmary had retired from the Bryant Electric Company, where she worked for 37 years.

Anna was a member of the Holy Cross Church, the Ladies Guild, the Holy Cross Seniors, and the St Joseph Society Lodge No 148.

 She is also survived by a daughter, Ann Marie Beatty of Bridgeport; a sister, Ethel Wuennemann of Fairfield; a brother, John J. Ray, Jr, of Massachusetts; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on December 27, in the Frank Polke & Son Funeral Home, 1546 Fairfield Avenue, Bridgeport, and at Holy Cross Church, Tahmore Drive, Fairfield. Interment followed in Lawncroft Burial Park.
