Youth Wrestlers Stand Out In Nighthawk Classic

The Newtown Youth Wrestling Association’s Nighthawk Classic took place at Newtown High School on December 19. Newtown had strong representation with top place finishers throughout the day. There were 427 wrestlers from Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. Newtown results are as follows:

First: Ben Weintraub, Brody Taylor, Eli Houston, Mathew Gaudenzi, Camron Veneziano, Dom Smeraglino, Jake Fattibene, Ryan Kenney, and Riley Lovett.

Second: Francis Skura, Sam Fregoe, Hunter Fowler, Brody Boshell, Keegan Rosenschein, Luke Hoadley, Mathew Iacuone, Vinny Franzago, Camron Veneziano, Blake DeLoge, Joey Cotter, Landon Spiller, Liam Wallenta, Tristan Rosenschein, Angelise Hernandez, Jake Maddox, and Rachel Ribeiro.

Third: Tyler San Souci, Beckham Nealon, Colin Brennen, Jacob Kennedy, Joseph Skura, Chase Ibbitson, Silas Houston, Vinny Gomulinski, Allen Gaudenzi, Jarvis Kriauciunas, Luke Piccirillo, Mason Alderman, Noah Blair, Reilly Kling, Keegan Blanar, and Rachel Ribeiro.
