Mary Elizabeth Hayden

Longtime Former Resident

Mary Elizabeth Hayden, 98, of Huntingdon, Tenn., previously a longtime resident of Newtown, died March 31. She was born in Bow, N.H., November 19, 1911.

Mary worked for more than 20 years at Fairfield Hills Hospital, where she was head of the Laundry Department. She was a member of Spay and Neuter Association of Newtown and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Botsford Fire Company.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Hayden and friend, Linda Parks, of Danbury and Charles Hayden and wife, Judith, of Huntingdon; one granddaughter; one great-grandson; and devoted friends Steve and Bonnie Barocsi. She was preceded in death by her loving husband David Hayden; and a brother.

A graveside Service was held April 7, in Huntingtown Cemetery, Brushy Hill Road, Newtown. The Reverend Matt Crebbin officiated.

The Honan Funeral Home, Newtown, was in charge of arrangements.
