C/D DIVISION

 

CHEETAHS 3, STARS 3: The Cheetahs came out running with two goals to the Stars one in the first half. The Cheetahs scored again in the second half but the Stars answered in the final minutes to tie the score at three apiece. Scoring for the Cheetahs were Lindsey Chimileski, Stefanie Prorock, and Katie Berliner. Goalkeeper Alissa Gross made some great saves. Scoring for the Stars were Caitlin Williams assisted by Kate Mayer, Biz Bowen and Caitlin Williams again. Bethany Ober was strong on defense.

DYNAMITES 2, NIGHTMARES 0: Amanda Roy and Aileen Kerns scored goals to lead the Dynamites to the win. Amber Finlayson, Ginella Gaulin-McKenzie and Sally Tabler all had strong games. For the Nightmares, Laura Reid scored the goal while Kate Hoolehan and Alyssa Scalora played well.

BOYS E DIVISION

 

TIGERSHARKS 5, FLASH 1: The Tigersharks exploded into the second half of the season with 5 big goals. Anthony Florez lead the offense with two goals. Jason Hanna, Greg Hill, and Blake Barreto each added one for the ‘Sharks. Evan Gregoire had two assists on the game. Ben Wicki shut down the Flash offense with stellar performance in goal. For the Flash, Kurt Nacewicz scored the lone goal. Alex Buethe played will at defense. Andrew Pezzulo kept it close with some great saves in goal.

RAPTORS 2, CHARIZARDS 1: Evan Kennedy and Chris McCann each scored a goal for the Raptors while Joe Fedak and Tyler Davenport anchored the defense. Evan Batzer scored for the Charizards as Keith McGrath and Nathaniel Burns had solid performances.

GIRLS E DIVISION

 

HURRICANES 4, TIGERS 0: Laura Konkos, Genna Scheuerell, Sammy Ciaccia and Megan Hansen all scored to lead the Hurricanes to the win. For the Tigers, Carolyn Gingras led the defense while June Repasi, Megan Brophy and Kristen Gucciardo played exceptionally.

STRIKERS 2, GATORADES 1: Johanna Bombaci scored on a penalty kick and Melissa Russell added another goal to lift the Strikers to the win. Kileen Barry had a strong defensive game. For the Gatorades, Kristen Landolfi, Laura Babbage and Bria Innautto all played well.

TIMBERWOLVES 1, CRAZY YANKEES 1: Jaclyn Schulz scored for the T-Wolves while Kimberly Andrews and Taylor Johns played well. For the Yankees, Jennifer O’Connell scored while Lucy Remitz and Joanna Barry were solid on defense.

BOYS F DIVISION

 

SENSATION 5, CATAMOUNTS 3: Jason Kostecki scored three goals while Ryan Cahalane and Connor Collier scored one goal apiece to lead the Sensation to the win. Timmy Culligan had a strong debut in goal. For the Catamounts, Remi McDonough and Kyle Droniak scored goals and George Zaruba had a solid performance on defense.

ROADRUNNERS 4, POKEMON 0: Joseph Capiello scored a pair of goals while Drew Woods and Ian Mason scored one goal apiece to lead the Roadrunners to the win. Mitch Blomberg, Matt Slattery and Chris Bock all played well for the Pokèmon.

HURRICANES 6, BULLS 3: Ricky Gallucci scored three goals to help lead the Hurricanes past the Bulls. Andrew Meisel scored a pair of goals while Daniel McSweeney chipped in with one. Willy Provey played well. For the Bulls, John Sapienza, Kevin O’Connell and Matt Narel all scored goals.

GIRLS F DIVISION

 

TORNADOES 4, ROCKET POWER 0: Kate Bowen, Chelsea Fay, Cassie David and Jillian Spies all scored to lead the Tornadoes past Rocket Power, which was led by Kristine Zadrovitz, Jane Cousins, Ava Rojo and Lisa Favicchia.

DOLPHINS 4, EAGLES 2: Danielle Norris scored two goals to help lift the Dolphins to the win. Tania Domingos and Ashley Soucar each added a goal. Paige Woodhouse played well in front of the net. Kristen Tanner scored both goals for the Eagles with the assistance of Emily Demarco. Gina Pisacreta and Ellen Ritzinger led the defense.

TIGRESSES 2, UNICORNS 2: Natalie Villa played a strong game, scoring a pair of goals to lift the Tigresses into a tie with the Unicorns. Tori Boushell and Katie O’Dell assisted the offense. For the Unicorns, Katie Green and Hannah Basch-Gould both scored while Gretchen Hoffman was solid on defense.

TIMBERWOLVES 3, HURRICANES 0: Nicki Butler scored a pair of goals and Emily Weber added a solo to lead the T-wolves to the win. Devon Ferris and Kelley Sullivan shined on defense. For the Hurricanes, Kelsey DeCesare, Laura Rice, Meagan Kelly and Riley Stauffer dominated the offense.

BOYS U11 TRAVEL

 

RAGE 6, DANBURY 1:The Rage overwhelmed Danbury, with strong contributions from everyone on the team. Ryan McGrath, Mark Cinquegrana and Justin Durelli anchored the defense, which allowed Danbury very few chances. Goalie Stephen Marks was up to the challenge, making good saves when Danbury was able to penetrate the defense. The goal scorers were Michael Klein, Brian Shimko, Joe Rahtelli, Chris Nuelle, Jack Quinn and Aron Fay.

GIRLS U11 TRAVEL

 

NEW FAIRFIELD (U12) 3, NITROS 2: The Nitros gave a good fight that disappointingly fell short in the last minute of play. A strong defensive effort was made by Meridith Palo, while Tyler Nicoll gave solid support at midfield. Goals were scored by Kristi Nowak off a nice feed by Maggie DeMarco and Nicole Sieber with an assist by Kyla Miles.

GIRLS U12 TRAVEL

 

ROCKETS 3, LITCHFIELD 0: Tara Gaston and Tori Thomas shared goal time while Siobhan Cooper, Caitlin Hansen and Tori Thomas each scored a goal. The defense was powered by Erin Clark,  Casey Frobey, Emily Fields and Megan Rawson.

GIRLS U13 TRAVEL

 

SHARON 6, KNOCKOUTS 3: The Knockouts scored three goals at the end of the first half to crawl back from a 4-0 deficit, but the rally ended there. Kaitlyn Fenton and Kristen Davis scored goals while Ashley Larocque scored on a penalty kick. Emma Mueller and Tara Ryan stood out on defense.
